macutils software package provides Set of tools to deal with specially encoded Macintosh files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install macutils
macutils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the macutils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep macutils *
You will get with macutils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
